DIRECTIONS
SATB stands for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. We often use these terms in choir! The goal of this lesson is to be able to write out four different parts that mostly do not cross over into each others territory. Keep the soprano voice on the top, the alto next, the tenor next, and the finally the bass on the bottom. Notice that all lines are singable and doesn't have any crazy jumps or awkward leaps.
1. Add 4 instruments of your type. Yay, you can create your own quartet!
2. Make sure you toggle ON concert pitch.
3. Change the time signature and key signature appropriately. Copy the melody of Hallelujah. You need to create that empty bar in the beginning so that you can include the pick up note. Look for the brackets on where to stop and start.
4. For this assignment, you can slowly start to expand your creativity as you feel comfortable. The melody does not necessarily need to be in the soprano voice.

GRADING CRITERIA
1. A quartet arrangement for your instrument
2. All four voices are distinct and playable.
3. Melody still sounds like Hallelujah
4. Harmony is the same from the given leadsheet. For advanced students, if you decide to deviate from the given harmonies, your notes must make sense. There aren't wrong notes, but there are really bad decisions
